The bird's nest is a classic nymph pattern very similar to the effective bead head hare's ear nymph with a few notable additions. It has a contrasting wire segmented body and also features the addition of some soft hackle up front and for use in the tail fibers giving this more movement and undulation underwater. If you haven't fished this fly we promise you won't be disappointed.
